06/01 TRICAN Multimedia Solutions Inc. announces it's first collaboration with a major American University
Trican and the University of Florida's College of Medicine join forces to develop Tobacco 101, an introductory web-based course that will provide an overview of the history of tobacco use, the marketing of tobacco, the anti-tobacco movement and the evolution of tobacco legislation.
Epidemiology, public health issues, neurobiology and medical consequences will also be studied. Course content will be developed by Patient Support International. This is the first in a series of courses dealing with
Epidemiology.

Developing an Aboriginal Statistics Course for Remote Communities, a project proposal submitted by TRICAN to the OLT, is selected by a panel of experts to receive funding.
According to the OLT, this project will further contribute to the OLT's mandate of promoting life-long learning for all Canadian through the application of learning technologies.

Tobaccoschool.com, a web-enabled recovery support tool, developed by TRICAN. Tobaccoschool.com is the first of three sites targeted at the tobacco recovery industry.

GeoLearning.com, one of the largest distributors of E-Learning in the US, sells a 15-seat site licence for ACE-IT!® to the Central Virginia Training Centre. CVTC will use ACE-IT!® to deliver Occupational Health and Safety training. ACE-IT!® is a network-enabled learning and testing tool developed by TRICAN. This educational software has complete course management system, test preparation and progress tracking functions.
